چکیده
Abstract Staphylococcus aureus is the most common cause of wound infections. Infected wounds increase severity and have a slower rate healing. Moreover, emergence multiple‐drug resistant bacteria such as methicillin‐resistant S. (MRSA) limited treatment options. This study was therefore aimed to evaluate antibacterial activity against pathogen wound‐healing properties green synthesized ZnO nanoparticles derived from mangosteen peel crude extract (ZnO‐Gm). their anti‐skin cancer also investigated in vitro. As result, ZnO‐Gm particles significantly inhibited growth MRSA with IC 50 values at 0.44 0.51 mg/mL, respectively. By performing quantitative reactive oxygen species (ROS) assay, intracellular ROS both treated found be elevated. Furthermore, exhibited cytotoxic effects via induction apoptosis on A375 melanoma cell line, an value 8.91 µg/mL, while not affecting normal line (Vero). In addition, 30 µg/mL could strongly promote healing epidermal keratinocyte (HaCaT). Consequently, findings this demonstrated that potential agents, materials, anti‐melanoma agents.

In vitro wound healing activity of luteolin
Background and objectives: Luteolin (3′,4′,5,7-tetrahydroxy flavone) is one of the most common flavones, which is naturally found in several edible plants and traditional medicine. It is known as a non-toxic compound with anti-inflammatory, antinociceptive, anticarcinogenic, antimutagenic, and antiangiogenic properties. Luteolin has antiproliferative activity against different ...

Background: Cyanoacrylate tissue adhesives have been used as a substitute to silk for intraoral wound closure. Placement of sutures provides a corridor for accumulation of microorganisms into tissue which leads to infection. Cyanoacrylate-based adhesives exhibit many properties of an ideal wound closure agent, minimizing the problems generated by suturing thread. The antimicrobial properties of...
متن کاملAntibacterial and Wound Healing Properties of Thymol (Thymus vulgaris Oil) and its Application in a Novel Wound Dressing
Background: In developing new products for skin care and wound treatment, biocompatibility plays a major role in the choice of ingredients. Thymol, an essential oil extracted from thyme plant, exhibits outstanding antibacterial properties, but more importantly, it proves to be much more compatible to skin cells in comparison to some conventionally used antibiotic drugs and chemicals. Objectiv...
متن کاملIn vitro assessment of the antimicrobial activity of silver and zinc oxide nanoparticles against fish pathogens
BACKGROUND Antibiotic resistance is a global issue that threatens public health. The excessive use of antibiotics contributes to this problem as the genes of antibiotic resistance can be transferred between the bacteria in humans, animals and aquatic organisms. Metallic nanoparticles could serve as future substitutes for some conventional antibiotics because of their antimicrobial activity. The...
